Apology

Hello interwebz

Its been too long, and what I find particularly annoying is that it seems that that is a common way to start my blog post over the last 4 months.

It has been a very difficult time for me these past two months getting back from tour. Difficult in almost every aspect of my life. I have been wrapped up in my head so much I have neglected my wee little blog. That may seem like no big deal to most, but I realized I have lost a lot of opportunities to share about what the Lord had been doing in my life. And He has been doing a lot. There is something very powerful in displaying your weaknesses, and I don't say that to be cliché. When we are honest with our weaknesses it allows the Lord to be glorified, allowing Him to get the glory. In this distraction and spiritual warfare I have been very selfish, so forgive me. I honestly do plan on blogging more, because I really do miss it. And I have been learning a lot.

(random doodle I had fun coloring... but will prolly come back to it later)

Another reason I have been so quiet on here if that all my extra drawing time has been dedicated to the commissions. They are taking much more time than I realized. :/ So if I do it again it is going to be a bit different. It is going to be a them, like Patronuses, or Food Objects (like the Pellegrino, coffee, beer, or burrito). But that wont be for a little while. I feel bad that it is taking me so long to get these done, so thank you all. What I am planing on doing next is a limited edition sketchbook. Ill print like 100-ish sketchbooks, sign and number each and sell them off my blog. Then I will ship them out to who order them. If this is something you might be interested in please let me know :D

I also never wrote about two major things, me being a full-time high School Teacher, aka Mr. Franco, and meeting a bunch of you fools ;P on this past summer tour. So expect me to explore these things on me blog.

I have a bunch of sketchbook pages scanned, ranging from random stuff to tour drawings to church notes. So expect some of them to grace the pages of me blog, but some might just remain exclusive to the sketchbook I am gonna self-publish.

Thank you for all of your patience, and me and my blog miss you. :)

glad to see you've rejoined the blogging world. also glad to hear that God has been working in your life, something that is always good even if he is focused on revealing to you less appealing aspects of yourself.

I like the sketchbook idea. Kind of like the simple art books a lot of artists at cons sell.

do indeed self-publish the sketchbook! I'd buy it!

I'm so sorry things have been rough for you of late. But, I've found that when things suck the most is when God does the most beautiful things... and it seems like you're finding that out too! There was a period this year where all I could do was cling on and remember 2 Corinthians 12:9:

"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

I would love to purchase a sketchbook Frak.

God is great. Even through trials and tribulations, he will always be there to help us. You have many fans and friends across this great country that are praying for you.

Hey Frak,

So glad to hear the Lord has been working in your life. He is an amazing God! (I can attest to that.)

Your idea about the sketchbook is awesome. I would definitely be interested in purchasing one! =)

Stay strong.

A sketchbook would be AMAZING! I hope it'll be around before Christmas... *nudges* :)

I'd love to see a massive picture of all the Wrockers, Podcasters and BNFs involved in the fandom.

I can totally relate to the lack of blogging. It's rough sometimes.

It's great to hear that you are seeing God's work through things...since often it seems we're floundering without any foresight.

I think your sketchbook idea is great. Your innovation is inspiring.

I'm very happy I had a chance to meet you (however briefly) in the Seattle area this summer. I'll be at Disneyland on the 12th-planning to be there the whole day/night. If you're up for some Disney magic, let me know! I'll try to remember to DM you as the time gets closer.

Prayers!
: )

Hey Frak, just started following your blog.
Isn’t it interesting how in our times of struggle, the desire to keep to ourselves grows stronger and stronger. Satan knows that it is during our times of struggle that God is glorified the most, so we want to turn inward. Luckily, God created the Church (which was a great idea!), a community where those outside look at and marvel, ‘how they love one another!’ I hope that things are going more smoothly for you now.

absolutely Frak - I'd be interested in the sketchbook or any other kind of method of selling art you'd be interested in pursuing (I love the fact that I'm getting a Frak original with this commission - but I'd have probably have jumped just as quickly at the chance to buy a print...)

first - yay for teaching! i'm so over it right now (but that's because i have about 60 tests to grade before the weekend is over!), but love to know teachers who enjoy their job!

second - i'm jealous that you have commissions. i never get anything done unless someone is expecting it :( ... the result being that i haven't painted in about a month! boo for me!

looking forward to the sketches!

I would not mind buying a book at all Frak. I think making it will be a good idea if you feel good about your work and think others will feel the same.

I would suggest the book title "WHAT THE FRAK!"

hahahahahahaha
