Bad Week

So I didn't have the most wonderful week. Mind you it was far from horrible, but some blows to my ego were made.

First off I was excited to share some artwork that I made for my old college group at church with some people, only to insulted with accusations of being gay, mainly due to the fact that my work lacked "grit", guns, and smokes.

Later in the week I was eating lunch with some coworkers. We were all having a good time and then out of no where I get this snide little comment and/or insult from someone that I don't even know all that well. "Do you ever iron your shirts?" I was like.... "...Thanks for that..."

To top off the week I tried to join a little online Harry Potter community. That was a mistake, I clearly forgot to get J. K. Rowling herself to review my application. I was told that it was trite, immature, and incoherent. And my doing it to have some fun and enjoy other HP fans was sorely and clearly the wrong thing to do! Apparently that little community is not for fun, but for serious Harry Potter business, cuz ya'know they have a lot to do with the outcome of the actual book and all. Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge Harry Potter fan, but come on now!
So, after about, oh... the 157th demeaning and insulting comment I got the vibe that I am not welcome to be a part of their little club. Oh no, what shall I ever do? Oh I know, remain sane. The sad thing is I was really looking forward to it...

Good work. What materials do you use for your drawings?

That sounds like a tough week, but I'm glad you pulled something positive out of it with these awesome little illustrations. I absolutely love the kermit the frog one. I started laughing out loud, imagining him saying that to you in his kermit voice.

Thanx everyone! And Brad I sketch with a pencil and then polish it off with a bruch pen. And do the coloring digitally in Photoshop and Painter. :P
