Doodles

Some drawing I did last night.
Its been a while sense I drew a fairy, there was a phase a few years back that i didn't go a day with out drawing a fairy or pixie of sorts.

Now this is the kind or Harley i can get behi- opps. I didnt mean... uh...
So I drew this last night per a request, and b/c I wanted to. ; )

I was quite happy with how Harley came out, but not so much with Ivy. If I had a computer at home to tweak it I would have, but such is the nature of traditional materials. And I probably would have colored it digitally too. it's good for me to get away from such a forgiving medium for a while.

Neglect

I was posting this in a thread at a forum i go to. But then realized I was on a rant, and should post it here in stead.

A few weeks back i was waiting outside of a super cuts to get my hair cut (go figure) and I spotted this table of teen's. It was heart wrenching to watch them. Their conversation evolved from how many days they ditched class (the more the better) to how one who said that his guidence councelor thinks he needs theropy for anger management. Even sadder yet watch the more quiet ones of the group lapp up any attention they could get.
It was sad b/c they had no motivation and from the looks of it nothing to get them out of bed in the morning.
It seems that the only attention they got from their parents was that of discipline. They were obviusly not poor, seeing that they were sitting in front of a starbucks sipping frappachinos and wearing Hot Topic "grunge" attire in a very upper-middle class community.

So i dunno why I am ranting here... but if you're a parent, spend time with your children. A moment spent talking and listening is worth more than any videogame, purse, or wardrobe money can buy. Children need their parents attention and interest.

Sketches

I did some sketching last night.

This is the witch I drew a week(ish) ago, finaly scanned it.

I stopped drawing her because I couldn't get her hair correct. But I still like it.

I stopped drawing this one because 24 came on. I may finish it later.

Necessary?

Witchy Woman

I did the sketch last week some time. There is another Wicked Witch drawing that I wanted to scan and post with this one, but I left that sketch book at home. And I am with out a computer at home. So as you can see that makes it difficult to scan.

I Scanned this one in at work on my lunch break.

Then I played with the color. I couldn't finish it b/c I only have about 20 mins to play with it,

but I was happy how it came out.

Demon

This is a sketch that I did a few months back that I liked so I scanned it.
It is my depiction of a Demon.

Demons are what the movies portray them to be as vile monsters and what not. Sure that can take the form if it helps there purpose but many times over that mock us by wearing masks or light and beauty. Think about it, how often you would give into temptation if you saw it for what it was. No one will drink poison from a puddle in the parking lot, but if you dress it right. The right color, the right bottle and the right woman holding it any man would willing it lap it down to satisfy the subtle whispers that plague him.

Mind you this isn’t out of condescension, but experience.

Lady Bugs

I had CAD training this week for work. It was nice to get a dose of the class room experiance once again. And the best part? The doodleing. I got some nice doodles in. I fotgot how much fun drawing is when in a confined situation as such. I will post other drawings later, this post is dedicated to de Lady Bugs!

Sculpting

Last night I had a relaxing evening in my room watching disc one
of LOST season one and making a small sculpture that
I plan to attach to a 5 x 5 canvas.
Because there is no real meaning behind it other than to do it,
it is going to be called... Doodle 2!
