Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas!
Or Happy Christmas to all the Brit's!

Despite its commercialism I love Christmas. It is a wonderful time to spend with friends and family, eat a lot of junk food, and enjoy the cold. But most of all it is a wonderful time of year to think on and speak about Christ and his coming into this world. Weather you believe him to be the Son of God or not, he changed this world forever. And his story is a beautiful tragedy. He was born to die so we might truly live. It is extremely humbling, and I pray that when I share about Christ and what he has done for me, and all of us, that that humility is there. I don't want you to believe what I believe or think how I think, I just want everyone to experience the grace and love that I have because of that man.

Brilliant
I absolutely LOVE Christmas time. The humility thing - I have such a time trying to wrap my head around the idea that the Son of Gog chose to come to Earth to live as one of us- - -knowing it was all set for Him to die in our place.

WOW!
Hope you've had a fabulous holiday!

Thanks Frak. There IS humility there. I love reading your posts, especially when they are reflections on something you've been studying that week in church, or on your own. There is a great peace to your writing - it's very refreshing. Your words often help to remind me of the type of person I am striving to become, and why.
